The Church of Visitation Parish, located at 160 Van Cortlandt Park South in the Bronx, played a significant role in the local Catholic community until its closure for regular worship in August 2015. Merged with St. John Parish, it continues to offer vital services, fostering community connections and spiritual support. Although its church structure has been leveled as of 2023, the legacy of Visitation lives on through the ongoing activities of St. John Parish, which provides sacraments, religious education, and community events. This merged parish addresses essential community needs, helping to maintain social cohesion and spiritual well-being in the Bronx.
