Located in Oakland Gardens, NY, the New Beginnings Teen Parenting Program, part of the J-CAP organization, is dedicated to empowering young mothers during their crucial journey into parenthood. Our mission is to provide emotional support while equipping pregnant, parenting, and at-risk teens with essential skills necessary for a more independent life. We emphasize the importance of education, encouraging participants to remain in school or pursue their General Equivalency Diploma (GED) as a foundation for further educational and career opportunities. Our comprehensive services include community-based GED instruction, life skills and social skills training, academic support, nutritional education, and career planning, all aimed at fostering resilience and self-sufficiency among young parents.
