The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Eufaula, OK, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this transformative program provides a tuition-free experience for selected Fellows, enabling them to immerse themselves in organic food system education and practical applications. Over six months at the Allegheny Farm, Fellows engage in hands-on training, learning to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement innovative health care educational sessions, and maintain community gardens. They also develop food and ecological literacy initiatives in schools, support farmers markets, and mentor future cohorts. Following their intensive training, Fellows participate in a Community Action Year, partnering with local non-profits to create increased access to healthy foods and foster food equity. The application process closes in March, with the enriching Fellowship running from May to October.
