Veggie Days is a vital program hosted at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in Adamsville, RI, dedicated to providing fresh produce free of charge to residents of Newport County every Thursday during the growing season. We understand the importance of food assistance and strive to make healthy vegetables and produce accessible to everyone in our community. Our weekly offerings are sourced from the Aquidneck Grower's Market, the RI Community Food Bank, Jamestown Community Farm, and private gardens, ensuring a varied inventory that reflects the best of local agriculture. All distributions operate on a first-come, first-served basis, connecting neighbors with nutritious food and fostering a spirit of community care and support.
