At Rhode Island WIC in Barrington, our mission is to empower low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with their infants and children up to five years old, by promoting healthy food habits and providing essential support. Through our Women, Infants, and Children Supplemental Food Program, we offer nutrition education, supplemental foods, and robust breastfeeding promotion and support, as well as vital referrals to local medical and social services. In response to COVID-19, we have adapted our services to prioritize the safety of our clients and staff, providing remote assistance and mailing benefits or adding them to eWIC cards. Families are encouraged to reach out to their local WIC clinics to discover how they can access our services and continue receiving the vital support they need during these challenging times.
