Rhode Island WIC is dedicated to supporting the health and nutrition of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to promote healthy food habits through essential services such as nutrition education, supplemental food provision, breastfeeding support, and referrals to vital medical and social resources in Block Island and surrounding areas. In response to COVID-19, we have adapted our services, continuing to offer support through remote services and mailing benefits directly to families. We encourage local families to reach out to their nearest WIC clinic for personalized assistance and to learn about our comprehensive food assistance programs aimed at fostering resilience and well-being during these challenging times.
