The Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program in Carolina, RI, is devoted to enhancing the lives of seniors in Washington County, East and West Greenwich, and Jamestown through essential services such as transportation to healthcare appointments, grocery stores, and food delivery, including Meals on Wheels. Our mission is to ensure that older adults receive the support they need, which includes home visits for individuals facing isolation. In addition to these vital services, we offer assistance with minor home repairs, yard clean-up, and snow removal for seniors aged 90 and above without family support. We also collaborate with the RI State Division of Elderly Affairs to engage seniors aged 60 and over in the Senior Companion Program, providing a stipend for those dedicating their time to enrich the community with 15 to 20 hours of volunteer service each week. Our programs reflect our commitment to fostering independence and dignity for aging individuals, ensuring they remain connected and supported in their daily lives.
