Southern Rhode Island Volunteers

The Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program, located in Charlestown, RI, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in Washington County, East and West Greenwich, and Jamestown. Our mission is to ensure that older adults have access to essential services, including reliable transportation to healthcare appointments and grocery stores, as well as food delivery through our Meals on Wheels program. We understand the importance of connection and provide visitation services for those who may be experiencing isolation. Additionally, we offer assistance with minor home repairs, yard maintenance, and snow removal for seniors aged 90 and above who lack family support. In partnership with the Rhode Island State Division of Elderly Affairs, we're proud to coordinate the Senior Companion Program, engaging senior volunteers who contribute their time and skills while receiving a stipend for their commitment. We are here to support our community's older adults, helping them live independently and with dignity.
