The Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program in Chepachet, RI, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in Washington County, East & West Greenwich, and Jamestown. Our mission is to provide essential support that fosters independence and connection, ensuring seniors have access to vital services. We offer transportation to healthcare appointments and grocery stores, as well as dependable food delivery through our Meals on Wheels program. Our caring volunteers also conduct visits to isolated individuals to provide companionship and support. Additionally, we assist with minor home repairs, yard cleanup, and snow removal for seniors aged 90 and above who lack family help. In collaboration with the RI State Division of Elderly Affairs, we facilitate the Senior Companion Program, which allows seniors aged 60 and over to volunteer, gaining both meaningful engagement and stipends for their commitment. We strive to create an environment where every senior feels valued and supported within their community.
