Rhode Island's WIC program is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission centers on providing crucial food assistance through nutrition education, supplemental foods, and breastfeeding support, while also connecting families with vital medical and social services in their communities. In response to COVID-19, we have adapted our services to ensure the safety of our clients and staff by offering remote consultations and conveniently mailing benefits or enhancing eWIC cards. Families in Chepachet and surrounding areas can easily access support by reaching out to their local WIC clinics to learn about available services.
