About Rhode Island WIC - COVID 19 Special Procedures

Rhode Island WIC is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and children up to five years old in East Greenwich and throughout the state. Our Women, Infants, and Children Supplemental Food Program focuses on promoting nutritious food habits by offering essential services such as nutrition education, supplemental food assistance, breastfeeding support, and vital referrals to medical and community services. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our services to prioritize the safety of our clients and staff, providing remote consultations and mailing benefits directly or enhancing benefits on eWIC cards. We invite families to reach out to their local WIC clinics for guidance on accessing our services during this time.
