The Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program, located in Exeter, RI, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in Washington County, including East and West Greenwich and Jamestown. Our mission is to provide essential support, ensuring that older adults have access to transportation for healthcare appointments and grocery store trips, along with food delivery and Meals on Wheels services. We also offer companionship visits to combat isolation, coordinate limited minor home repairs, and assist with yard clean-up and snow removal for those aged 90 and older without family support. Working closely with the RI State Division of Elderly Affairs, we empower senior volunteers (60+) through the Senior Companion Program, offering a stipend for their dedicated service of 15 to 20 hours per week. We are committed to fostering independence and community connection for our elders.
