About Rhode Island WIC - COVID 19 Special Procedures
In Greenville, Rhode Island, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program is dedicated to supporting low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to foster healthy food habits through a range of services, including nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, and breastfeeding support. We also connect families with essential medical and social services within the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rhode Island WIC has adapted to ensure the safety of both clients and staff by offering remote services and streamlined benefits delivery, including mailing benefits and updating eWIC cards. Families are encouraged to reach out to their local WIC clinics for more information on available services to support their nutritional needs.
