The Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program in Harrisville, RI, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in Washington County, East & West Greenwich, and Jamestown. Our mission is to provide essential food assistance and practical support to older adults through services like transportation to healthcare appointments and grocery stores, as well as reliable food delivery and Meals on Wheels programs. We also prioritize social connections by offering visitation for isolated individuals. In addition to these crucial services, we help coordinate limited minor home repairs, yard clean-up, and snow removal for seniors over 90 who may lack family support. Partnering with the RI State Division of Elderly Affairs, we place senior volunteers (60+) in our Senior Companion Program, empowering them to give back while receiving a stipend for their commitment of 15 to 20 hours of service each week. We are here to ensure that our senior community remains independent, supported, and engaged.
