About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Hopkinton, RI, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to educating and empowering participants to champion a food system that is equitable, sustainable, and resilient. Through hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in organic food system education and develop vital skills for transforming local food landscapes. This transformative fellowship provides opportunities for Fellows to work alongside community partners in growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health care education, maintaining school gardens, and enhancing food literacy within schools. Additionally, Fellows will strengthen community access to healthy foods by supporting farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives, while actively participating in community food coalition efforts. With no tuition fees, the Fellowship promotes accessibility and is a practical pathway for aspiring food advocates. Applications for this immersive program are open until March each year, with the experiential training running from May to October.
