Rhode Island WIC, located in Newport, is dedicated to empowering low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and caregivers of young children through essential food assistance and nutritional support. Our mission is to foster healthy eating habits for infants and children up to five years old by offering valuable resources, including comprehensive nutrition education, supplemental foods, and breastfeeding support. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our services to prioritize the safety of our clients and staff by providing remote consultations and efficiently mailing benefits or updating eWIC cards. Families are encouraged to reach out to their local WIC clinics to explore the available services and learn how we can assist them in maintaining a healthy lifestyle during these challenging times.
