The Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in Oakland, RI, and the surrounding areas of Washington County, East and West Greenwich, and Jamestown. Our mission is to empower older adults by providing essential services such as reliable transportation to healthcare appointments and grocery stores, as well as food delivery and Meals on Wheels. We recognize the importance of social connection, offering visitations for those who may feel isolated. Additionally, we assist with minor home repairs, yard clean-ups, and snow removal specifically for individuals over 90 who lack family support. In partnership with the RI State Division of Elderly Affairs, we also coordinate the Senior Companion Program, enabling seniors aged 60 and above to engage in meaningful service while receiving a stipend for their commitment. At our core, we prioritize dignity and independence for the elderly community, ensuring they receive the support they need to live comfortably and connected.
