Located in Oakland, Rhode Island, the Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) is dedicated to fostering healthy lifestyles for low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and young children up to five years old. Our mission revolves around enhancing the well-being of families through nutrition education, providing supplemental foods, and supporting breastfeeding initiatives. We also connect families with essential medical and social services in the community. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rhode Island WIC has adapted our services to ensure safety, offering remote consultations and mailing benefits directly, or adding them to eWIC cards. Families are encouraged to reach out to their local WIC clinics to discover how they can access our vital support and resources.
