About Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program
The Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program in Peace Dale, RI, is dedicated to empowering seniors in Washington County, East and West Greenwich, and Jamestown. We provide vital transportation services for healthcare appointments and grocery shopping, along with food assistance through our meal delivery and Meals on Wheels programs. Our mission extends to combating loneliness through regular visitations for isolated individuals, while we also assist with limited home repairs, yard upkeep, and snow removal for those over 90 without family support. Additionally, in partnership with the Rhode Island State Division of Elderly Affairs, we facilitate opportunities for senior volunteers aged 60 and above to engage in meaningful community service through our Senior Companion Program, offering a stipend for their commitment of 15 to 20 hours per week. We are here to ensure that our seniors can live independently with dignity and support in their daily lives.
