The Diabetes and Endocrine Disorders in Pregnancy Program in Providence, RI provides specialized care for women managing pregestational or gestational diabetes and other endocrine disorders during pregnancy. Our mission is to ensure a healthy pregnancy by offering a collaborative model of care that closely partners with your obstetric provider. We prioritize education and support through services including nutrition counseling by a clinical dietitian, diabetes education sessions led by a registered nurse with certification in diabetes education, glucose meter and insulin administration instructions, fetal ultrasounds, and comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine consultations. Additionally, we offer a one-time physician consultation before or during pregnancy and co-management of diabetes and endocrine disorders during the pregnancy and postpartum period.
