Rhode Island's Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program on Prudence Island is dedicated to promoting healthy food habits for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission centers on providing essential nutrition education, supplemental foods, breastfeeding support, and valuable referrals to medical and social services within the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain committed to serving our families by implementing modified, safe service options, including remote consultations and the distribution of benefits via eWIC cards.
