About Rhode Island WIC - COVID 19 Special Procedures
Rhode Island WIC is committed to supporting low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old, through the Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program. Our mission is to foster healthy food habits by offering essential resources, including nutrition education, supplemental foods, and breastfeeding support. We also provide vital referrals to medical and social services within the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our services to ensure the safety of our clients and staff by offering remote consultations and mailing benefits directly or adding them to eWIC cards. Families in Rockville, RI, and surrounding areas can reach out to their local WIC clinics to learn how to access these important services and continue to nurture their families during these challenging times.
