The Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program in Rumford, RI, is dedicated to empowering seniors in Washington County, East & West Greenwich, and Jamestown through essential support and compassionate care. We offer vital transportation services to healthcare appointments and grocery stores, alongside food delivery and Meals on Wheels, ensuring that our seniors have access to nutritious meals. Our program also addresses isolation by providing friendly visitations for individuals in need. Additionally, we coordinate limited home repairs, yard maintenance, and snow removal for seniors over 90 without family support, as well as respite care for caregivers. Partnering with the RI State Division of Elderly Affairs, we facilitate the Senior Companion Program, where experienced volunteers aged 60 and above can serve our community while receiving a stipend for their invaluable commitment of 15 to 20 hours a week. Our mission is to foster independence and enrich the lives of seniors in our community through practical assistance and heartfelt service.
