At the Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program in Smithfield, RI, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in Washington County, including East and West Greenwich and Jamestown. Our mission focuses on providing essential transportation services to healthcare appointments and grocery stores, along with reliable food delivery and Meals on Wheels programs to ensure no one goes hungry. We understand the importance of companionship and offer visitation programs for isolated individuals. Additionally, we assist with minor home repairs, yard clean-up, and snow removal for seniors aged 90 and above who may not have family support. In collaboration with the RI State Division of Elderly Affairs, we also empower seniors to get involved through our Senior Companion Program, offering stipends for dedicated volunteers who commit to serving their peers. Our goal is to foster independence and support the well-being of our senior community.
