Rhode Island WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) is dedicated to promoting healthy food habits among low-income pregnant and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide essential nutrition education, supplemental foods, and breastfeeding support, along with referrals to crucial medical and social services within the Smithfield community. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rhode Island WIC has adapted its services to ensure the safety of our clients and staff, now offering remote services and the option to mail benefits or add them to eWIC cards. Families are encouraged to reach out to their local WIC clinics for information on accessing these vital resources during this time.
