Located in Tiverton, RI, Lucy's Hearth Emergency Shelter Program provides a vital resource for families with children seeking temporary refuge. Our warm and welcoming facility accommodates up to six families, offering shared access to essential amenities, including a kitchen, dining area, and learning center. We prioritize comprehensive support through various services such as crisis intervention, life skills development, goal-setting groups, case management, parenting education, financial literacy training, and GED preparation. Additionally, residents benefit from nutrition classes, job readiness skills, mental health treatment, and after-school homework assistance. We also provide transportation to appointments and referrals to community resources. Former residents can access ongoing support for up to six months, including budgeting assistance and advocacy services. At Lucy's Hearth, our mission is to empower families to overcome challenges and prevent future homelessness, ensuring every family feels safe and supported on their journey to stability. Families interested in our emergency shelter must complete a screening through United Way 2-1-1 and respond promptly to placement opportunities.
