St. Jean Baptiste Church, located at 328 Main St, Warren, RI, was a Roman Catholic community deeply rooted in local traditions. Though it closed permanently on January 1, 2018, due to declining attendance and operating costs, it previously served as a vital spiritual resource for its parishioners. The church had become a mission of St. Mary of the Bay Church, contributing to the community’s sacramental life and social support until its closure. With registered families decreasing from 750 in 1990 to about 80 attendees at the end, the church’s evolution reflects broader shifts in local religious engagement. While it no longer operates, its history and community contributions remain significant to Warren residents.
