In Warwick, RI, Rhode Island WIC offers critical support through the Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program, dedicated to fostering healthy food practices among low-income pregnant women, mothers, and young children up to five years old. Our mission is to ensure that families have access to essential nutrition education, supplemental foods, and breastfeeding support, along with referrals to vital medical and social services in the community. In response to COVID-19, we have adapted our procedures to continue providing these essential services safely; we now offer remote support and mail benefits directly or add them to eWIC cards. Families are encouraged to reach out to their local WIC clinics to learn how to access services tailored to their needs.
