The Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program in West Kingston, RI, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in Washington County, East & West Greenwich, and Jamestown. Our mission is to provide essential food assistance, including grocery store transportation, meals on wheels, and food delivery, ensuring that our elderly community members have access to nutritious meals. We also offer vital transportation to healthcare appointments, helping individuals maintain their health and well-being. To combat isolation, we provide visitations to seniors who may be feeling lonely. In addition, our program supports seniors by coordinating minor home repairs, yard cleanup, and snow removal for those aged 90 and over without family assistance. We work closely with the RI State Division of Elderly Affairs to place senior volunteers in the Senior Companion Program, which allows them to give back to the community while receiving a stipend for their valuable time. Together, we strive to foster independence and promote a caring community for our aging residents.
