About Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program
The Independent Aging and Living Support Services Program in Wood River Junction, RI, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in Washington County, East & West Greenwich, and Jamestown. Our mission is to promote independence and well-being among older adults through essential services such as transportation to healthcare appointments and grocery stores, as well as reliable food delivery and Meals on Wheels programs. We understand the challenges of isolation, which is why we offer companionship visitations to foster connection. Additionally, we support seniors with limited minor home repairs, yard clean-up, and snow removal for residents aged 90 and over without family assistance. In collaboration with the RI State Division of Elderly Affairs, we also coordinate opportunities for senior volunteers through the Senior Companion Program, empowering those 60 and older to contribute to their community while receiving a stipend for their commitment. We are here to ensure that seniors have access to the care and resources they need to live independently and healthfully.
