The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Wood River Junction, RI, is dedicated to empowering individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive, free education initiative. Over the course of a 12-month journey, participants receive valuable resources, including six informative e-booklets tailored to their specific needs, a monthly e-newsletter in both English and Spanish filled with timely tips and community resources, and updates on local events. Enrollees who provide their phone number are invited to take part in our monthly Ask the Experts Q&A series, where they can engage with American Diabetes Association specialists, gain insights on managing diabetes and its connection to heart health, and access useful giveaways to support their health journey.
