About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bennettsville, SC is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Through our comprehensive program, selected Fellows receive hands-on training and education in organic farming practices, while advocating for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our unique initiative not only offers free tuition to ensure accessibility but also empowers participants to engage in meaningful community partnerships. Throughout their six-month residential experience at the Allegheny Farm, Fellows gain practical skills in crop cultivation, health education, community gardening, and food literacy advocacy. This is complemented by a Community Action Year where they apply their learning alongside regional non-profit organizations, helping to enhance food access through farmers markets and innovative distribution methods. We invite passionate individuals to join us in cultivating a just and sustainable food future and encourage applications by March for experiences running from May to October.
