Based in Bluffton, SC, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship empowers individuals to champion a just and sustainable food system through hands-on experience and education. This program trains Fellows to advocate for socially, environmentally, and economically responsible practices in food production and distribution. With no tuition fees, we ensure that the Fellowship is accessible to all. Participants engage in a six-month, immersive study at our Allegheny Farm Campus, focusing on organic food system education and implementing community initiatives. Activities include growing and distributing diverse crops, conducting health-focused educational sessions, maintaining school and community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in educational settings. Additionally, Fellows support local farmers markets and develop distribution channels to improve access to healthy foods. After their intensive training, they embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their skills and knowledge. Interested candidates should apply by March to begin their transformative journey from May to October.
