Central, SC US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Central, SC, is dedicated to nurturing and empowering individuals through transformative education in organic food systems. Our program trains passionate Fellows to become advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Offering a tuition-free experience, we ensure accessibility to all who seek to make a difference in their communities. Throughout a six-month, hands-on residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, leading innovative health education sessions, maintaining community gardens, and teaching ecological literacy in schools. After their residency, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, working with regional nonprofits to implement vital initiatives that enhance access to healthy food and strengthen community food coalitions. Applications are accepted until March of each year, with the fellowship running from May to October, making this an impactful opportunity for those committed to improving local food systems.
