At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Chapin, SC, we are dedicated to training and empowering the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program champions social, environmental, and economic equity through hands-on experience and education in organic food systems. We provide a unique opportunity for Fellows to immerse themselves in an enriching, six-month residential experience at Allegheny Farm, where they will learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, engage in community gardens, and lead educational initiatives that promote food and ecological literacy. Our program not only supports farmers markets and direct-to-consumer sales but also fosters collaboration with local non-profits to ensure increased access to healthy foods. Best of all, we believe in making this Fellowship accessible by not charging any tuition, ensuring that passionate individuals can apply by March each year to begin their journey from May to October.
