About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Charleston, SC, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Through a comprehensive program, we empower Fellows with the knowledge and skills needed to advocate for a food system that is equitable, sustainable, and beneficial to our communities. Our fellowship is tuition-free to ensure accessibility and includes hands-on training on organic food production, educational outreach, and community gardening. Participants engage in diverse activities, from growing crops on our market-style farm to integrating food and ecological literacy in schools. Over six months at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows immerse themselves in experiential learning, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their training in partnership with local non-profits. We invite passionate individuals to join us in transforming food systems and fostering greater access to healthy food options across the region, with applications due by March each year for positions starting in May.
