The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Clinton, SC, offers a transformative opportunity for aspiring advocates and educators in the food systems realm. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship focuses on fostering a just food environment—socially, environmentally, and economically. By providing organic food system education at the Allegheny Farm Campus in Highland County, VA, we ensure accessible inclusivity through a no-tuition model. Selected participants engage in hands-on experiences over six months, learning to grow diversified crops and implementing innovative educational sessions in healthcare. They also support community gardens, farmers markets, and food coalition efforts, all while developing channels to enhance access to healthy food. Following their training, Fellows participate in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to put their skills into practice. Applications are welcome until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
