The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Darlington, SC, seeks to empower passionate individuals to become leaders and advocates for a just food system. Through a hands-on, experiential program, Fellows receive comprehensive training in organic agriculture, community engagement, and food education. Our initiative promotes accessibility by offering this immersive learning experience without tuition costs. Fellows work directly with local partners to cultivate diverse crops, manage community gardens, and lead educational sessions that enhance food and ecological literacy. Our program also supports innovative health initiatives, farmers markets, and strives to ensure increased access to healthy foods in the community. After a transformative six-month fellowship at our farm campus, participants enter a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship running from May to October each year.
