The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Elgin, SC, is dedicated to training and empowering future leaders in sustainable food systems. Our program offers a transformative six-month experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows engage in hands-on learning about organic food production, community food initiatives, and ecological literacy. This fellowship is designed to foster advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Throughout the program, Fellows participate in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, conducting educational sessions in health care, and supporting community gardens and farmers markets. Additionally, they can develop vital distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods and collaborate with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year. We are proud to offer this program without tuition fees to ensure it is accessible to all passionate individuals eager to make a positive impact in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship typically running from May to October.
