The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Fountain Inn, SC, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become advocates for an equitable food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through hands-on education at the Allegheny Farm Campus, our Fellows embark on a transformative six-month experience that includes growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing health education programs, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in educational settings. Our program emphasizes accessibility by eliminating tuition fees, allowing passionate individuals to engage deeply in fostering food assistance initiatives and nurturing sustainable community food systems. After their immersion, Fellows apply their knowledge during a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to increase access to healthy foods and support local food markets. We invite aspiring leaders to apply by March for an enriching experience that typically runs from May to October.
