MOVE! is a compassionate weight management and health promotion initiative located in Gaffney, SC, dedicated to enhancing the well-being of Veterans. Our mission is to proactively screen every Veteran for obesity during their care at VA facilities, ensuring they receive the appropriate referrals to effective weight management services tailored to their individual needs and preferences. We offer a variety of options designed to support Veterans on their weight loss journey, including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, and our TeleMOVE! program, which provides in-home messaging and clinician support. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. In addition, for Veterans who face ongoing struggles with weight-related issues despite utilizing MOVE!, we provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery.
