About Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program

The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Hilton Head Island, SC, is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of families through comprehensive nutrition education. Sponsored by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture and Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, EFNEP provides practical, hands-on programs that address essential topics such as diet quality, physical activity, food resource management, food safety, and food security. Adult participants can look forward to acquiring skills in planning quick and healthy meals, preparing nutritious recipes in cooking classes, ensuring food safety, managing their food budgets effectively, and increasing physical activity. We proudly serve a diverse audience, including children, youth, adults, and families who are eligible for Food Assistance programs like WIC, SNAP, AFDC, or Head Start, empowering them to make informed and health-conscious choices.
