The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Inman, SC, is dedicated to cultivating leaders who champion a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. This transformative program empowers selected Fellows with hands-on, experiential education in organic farming and food systems to become effective educators and advocates. Over six months at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows learn through direct engagement in diverse agricultural practices, such as growing and distributing crops, managing community gardens, and implementing innovative health education sessions. Following their intensive training, they participate in a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with local non-profit organizations to enhance food access, support farmers markets, and promote food and ecological literacy across communities. Our Fellowship does not charge tuition, ensuring that anyone passionate about fostering sustainable food practices can participate. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
