The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Johns Island, SC, is dedicated to fostering healthy nutrition among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to empower families by offering vital resources such as nutrition education, supplemental foods, breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to essential healthcare services. Even during the challenges posed by COVID-19, South Carolina WIC remains committed to serving our community by modifying our service delivery to ensure the well-being of our clients and staff.
