About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Lake City, SC, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of food system advocates through hands-on training and education. This fellowship invites passionate individuals to engage in a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year that allows them to apply their skills in collaboration with local non-profits. With a focus on creating a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just, our program emphasizes organic food system education, the development of diversified crop production, and community engagement activities that support health education, school and community gardens, and local farmers markets. We prioritize accessibility by offering this transformative opportunity with no tuition fees, ensuring that all aspiring leaders can advocate for increased access to healthy foods within their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with placements from May to October, as we equip Fellows to make a tangible impact in their communities.
