The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Little River, SC, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become effective advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. This program offers a hands-on, immersive experience on a market-style farm where Fellows engage in organic food system education and community initiatives. Throughout the six-month Fellowship, participants gain practical skills in growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational programs. After their residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to promote food assistance and support local food coalitions. With a commitment to accessibility, the Fellowship charges no tuition, allowing passionate individuals to contribute to the local food ecosystem and foster healthier communities.
