The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Longs, SC, nurtures a new generation of leaders dedicated to building a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Our program offers a transformative six-month residential experience on the Allegheny Farm in Virginia, where selected Fellows engage in hands-on training in organic agriculture, food literacy, and community food initiatives. Throughout the Fellowship, participants are empowered to advocate for food assistance and increased access to healthy foods by engaging in meaningful projects, including managing community gardens, supporting local farmers markets, and implementing educational programs aimed at promoting food and ecological literacy. Our commitment to accessibility is reflected in our tuition-free approach, ensuring that all aspiring advocates can join our mission to enhance food systems. We invite applicants to join us each year, with applications due by March, leading to impactful learning opportunities from May through October.
