The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Lugoff, SC, is dedicated to supporting individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive and accessible 12-month curriculum, provided at no cost. Participants engage with six informative e-booklets tailored to their needs post-diagnosis, along with a monthly e-newsletter that offers seasonal tips and resources in both English and Spanish. The program also highlights local community events to further empower individuals in their diabetes management. Enrollees who provide their phone numbers can participate in our monthly Ask the Experts Q&A sessions, where they can pose their diabetes-related questions to American Diabetes Association experts, learn about the critical connection between diabetes and heart health, and enjoy giveaways designed to enhance their wellbeing.
