The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Marion, SC, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who are passionate about creating a fair and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows engage in essential activities like growing diversified crops, maintaining community gardens, and supporting farmers markets. Our mission is to empower individuals to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. By offering an accessible tuition-free program, we promote inclusivity in food education and facilitate partnerships with regional non-profits to implement innovative health care and educational initiatives. As part of the Fellowship, participants invest six months in experiential learning before embarking on a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills to enhance local food access and ecological literacy. Applications are open until March each year, with the experience running from May to October.
