The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mauldin, SC, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates for a fair and resilient food system through hands-on training and community engagement. We provide a supportive environment for our Fellows to gain comprehensive education in organic food systems, ensuring accessibility by not charging tuition. Over six months, participants immerse themselves in a transformative residential curriculum at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they partner with local non-profits to implement vital initiatives. Our Fellows engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, enhancing community health through educational sessions, maintaining gardens, and developing food literacy programs. By nurturing these connections, we empower our Fellows to create sustainable pathways for access to healthy foods and advocate for social, environmental, and economic justice in the food system.
